Today&#8217;s post is about the kind of photography exactly opposite to that, the <a class=\"zem_slink freebase\/guid\/9202a8c04000641f800000000099fc78\" title=\"High speed photography\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/High_speed_photography\" rel=\"wikipedia\">high-speed photography<\/a>. Time-lapse photography squishes very slow processes into a smaller time-scale and make them interesting to watch. The high-speed photography captures \u00a0fleeting moments of a very quick process by using high shutter speeds that make for some fabulous visuals. A friend shared <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/picturegalleries\/howaboutthat\/5049293\/High-speed-photographs-by-Alan-Sailer-capture-the-moment-a-pellet-fired-from-an-air-rifle-hits-an-object.html\">this link<\/a> with me a few days ago that shows some impressive shots taken by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/8763834@N02\/\">Alan Sailer<\/a>. He uses an interrupted laser beam to trigger the <a class=\"zem_slink freebase\/guid\/9202a8c04000641f80000000000668b7\" title=\"Camera\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Camera\" rel=\"wikipedia\">camera<\/a> at the precise moment when a bullet passes out of a given object and captures that <em>fragile<\/em>\u00a0moment just before the object is blown to pieces. As destructive as it sounds, when you see his pictures, you will be left with a sense of awe and respect for his work!
